Chieftain Ashtotem is a taunka in Camp Winterhoof in the Howling Fjord of Northrend.
During the war against the Lich King, he sent Longrunner Nanik to find help among the Horde against the vrykul.[1] Accepting the help of the adventurers, Ashtotem sent them and the Winterhoof Brave against Skorn to buy the taunka time, while he would prepare his village for evacuation.[2] After Skorn was conquered, he sent them to disrupt Gjalerbron, especially targeting the enemy vrykul as well as the leader of the necrolords there, Necro Overlord Mezhen.
Years later, after the war against the Jailer, Muradin Bronzebeard reported when passing by Camp Winterhoof that Chieftain Ashtotem didn't seem particularly interested in making friends beyond the Horde.[3]
