The heir presumptive,[1] Dagran Thaurissan II, is the son of Emperor Dagran Thaurissan of the Dark Iron clan and Moira Thaurissan (born Bronzebeard) of Ironforge. As half-mountain and half-dark dwarf, Dagran is the heir to the thrones of both the King of Ironforge and the Dark Iron Emperor.

After Magni Bronzebeard turned to diamond shortly before the Cataclysm, Moira brought Dagran to Ironforge[2] where he remains to this day.

Until he achieves his majority, the rule of Ironforge is decided by the Council of Three Hammers, composed of Moira, Muradin Bronzebeard and Falstad Wildhammer, after which the Council will disband.[3]

  • Moira's child appears in the nightmare of his grandfather Magni Bronzebeard, in which he is fully grown and is called Fenran.[4] As it is unlikely for Magni to have had any way of knowing his grandson's name, this is likely not an error from the writer of the comic, but rather an error by Magni due to lacking knowledge.
  • In the index of the Ultimate Visual Guide book Dagran is listed with the Emperor title.[5]

Considering that he is described as a toddler at the start of the Cataclysm era,[6] he could be roughly 6 years old during the Burning Legion's third invasion.
