Fathnyr is a storm drake located in Stormheim. He has been harassing the Wardens.

- Burning Armor - Wards the caster in a shell of fel fire for 6 sec, increasing damage taken by 50% but inflicting Fire damage every second to attackers for 6 sec. This effect stacks.
- Enhanced
- Feflame Breath - Inflicts Fire damage to all enemies in a cone 25 yds. long in front of the caster.
- Fel-Infused - Infuses the caster's weapons with fel magic, causing melee attacks to create a pool of fel at the target's location. Standing in this pool causes targets to suffering Fire damage every 1 sec.
- Imbued
- Incineratus - Fires a volley of burning fel at enemies, each which burst into multiple gouts of flame, inflicting Fire damage to enemies within 3 yards.
- Nova - Invokes a nova, inflicting high Fire damage to enemies within 12 yards and additional Fire damage every 1 sec for 4 sec.
- Shattering Roar - Fathnyr's roar cracks the ground causing gouts of flame to spew forth inflicting Fire damage to anyone caught in the blast.

Fáfnir was a figure in Norse mythology, a dwarf who murdered his father, the king Hreidmar, and stole from him a magical ring. A curse upon the ring turned Fáfnir into a dragon, and he was eventually slain by the hero Sigurðr.
The ring itself was first owned by another dwarf, Andvari, and had the power to create gold. Loki tricked Andvari into giving him the ring, who in turn gave it to Hreidmar after accidentally killing one of the king's sons. The ring's name was Andvaranaut, which translates to "
[Andvari's Gift]."
