Trivia[]
- The Guardian of Ancient Kings appears as a basic card for the Paladin class in Hearthstone. The flavor text reads: "Holy beings from the beyond are so cliché!"
- Prior to Legion, this spell summoned a guardian to aid you in battle. The Protection and Holy guardians had no weapons, while the Retribution guardian used a sword made of light. During the Cataclysm beta, the weapons equipped by the Guardian of Ancient Kings were:
- Holy: [Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings] and [Bastion of Purity]
- Protection: [Honor of the Fallen] and [Crystal Plated Vanguard]
- Retribution: [Decimation]
