Iyu is a massive genesaur and one of the apparent leaders of the botani. Throughout the Gorgrond storyline, numerous hostile Botani are found espousing that their destructive ways are "the will of Iyu," showing they serve under him. He is served by the Voice of Iyu.
He is first seen destroying Naielle's Watch during 
[15-40] Welcome to Gorgrond, destroying the Alliance camp and creating a wave of chaotic plants and life in its wake. During the Lumber Mill campaign, the commander battles Iyu's botani servants alongside Draka and Kaz the Shrieker, or Rangari Kaalya and Yrel. Chasing the artifact that has the power to control genesaurs, the party arrives at Moira's Reach and are finally confronted by Iyu. The genesaur and its minions are killed during 
[15-40] Iyu. Its skull was then taken to the Broken Horn Village.

Genesis — Empowers allies with the gift of Genesis.- Ground Stomp — Stomps the ground, inflicting 4 Physical damage to all enemies within 20 yards, knocking them back.

After this quest, you will get a follower named Kaz the Shrieker if you are Horde, or Rangari Kaalya if you are Alliance.
