Navigation[]

What do you guys think of a navigation template of BRD, á la Template:Strat? I almost started doing it, but then reconsidered, as it will be HUGE. Blackrock Depths has a large amount of bosses and a template with that would need some extra concentration ^^ Still, I'm a fan of navigation templates, since they make.. navigation.. easier, of course. --Tinkerer 04:09, 28 October 2006 (EDT)

I'd say do it. Even if it is huge, it will make it a lot easier to get around.--Dracomage 08:30, 28 October 2006 (EDT)

Loot[]

We need a full list of Phat loot that all bosses drop like we have on all other instances. Can someone compile a list? --  Shandris  talk / contribs 01:19, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Detailed Walkthrough?[]

This is huge and fun instance, I was wondering if having a walk though, which contains the most efficients routes, would be helpful. Pumus (talk) 02:49, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

If you write it, they will come. If it's to show people the quickest routes to the different places, that sounds like a good idea. I don't really think you need to cover what each place is however; a link will suffice. --Sky (t · c · w) 02:59, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Lvl70ETC Plays at 8[]

I think they might play at 9 too, 'cause I saw them just a few minutes ago at 9pm server. I thought they played at 8 too.  VainaVainamoinenJust ask! What have I been up to? 04:38, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

I do know that they play on demand of the mole machine controller. Beyond that, I don't know if they have a schedule. The band setup is there all the time. You saw that, I'm sure, but was the band playing at the time? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 18:05, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

New Dungeon Finder Classification[]

I think the page should be reorganized to better conform to the new dungeon finder tool, which splits Blackrock Depths into 2 different dungeons within the same instance: Prison (49-60), and Upper City (51-60). Particularly, which bosses are considered to belong to which section, and who is the end boss for each one? I believe the interrogator chick is the final boss of the Prision area, and anything that requires the shadowforge key is considered Upper City, but since this is a pretty big change I wouldn't want to make it all by myself. Dr. Cheis (talk) 09:03, February 6, 2010 (UTC)

If you get the Prison, the end boss is High Interrogator Gerstahn. If you get Upper City, it _appears_ that the final Boss is both Princess Moira Bronzebeard and Emperor Dagran Thaurissan. I finished it twice yesterday in the Random Dungeon Finder, and the first time we killed the Emperor first (causing the princess to go non-hostile), and we didn't get the satchel of helpful goods. The second time, I made sure we killed the princess first, and we got the satchel when we killed the Emperor. Merely anecdotal, but there you are. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way of knowing _which_ random dungeon you're in until after you kill the High Interrogator. Versus Maraudon, which drops you in obviously different places, BRD always starts you at the instance portal. Pfriedel (talk) 16:30, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
Not so, I think it's glitched. I just did it twice. First time killed every boss in the entire thing including the optional and quest ones except for princess and got - nothing. Next time skipped to the end (after killing the High interrogator) and killed both and got - still nothing.   VainaVainamoinenJust ask! What have I been up to? 04:37, May 25, 2010 (UTC)

Shortcut from East Garrison to MC Portal?[]

I haven't found much describing this yet, even though it's a really old trick. You can jump out of the right hand window before the locked gate upstairs in the East Garrison, jump down to the path there, fight up to Lord Incendius and then jump down into the lava on the north to (relatively easily) wall hop your way up to the MC entrance, which lets you bypass a good chunk of the instance. The hardest part is keeping squishies alive in the lava hop to the big island between the wall and the portal. (And you start the worst of the lava hop from farther north than might be obvious..) A quick image of the run is here: http://img260.yfrog.com/img260/1483/brdmap.jpg - any thoughts on how to get this into the page? Pfriedel (talk) 16:42, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

"...very few people who have played World Of Warcraft before Burning Crusade..." Wut?[]

Maybe I'm being grammatically anal, here, but check this out...

In Wrath of the Lich King, Blackrock Depths has attracted more interest, mainly because of the instance clearing achievement. Also, the schematic for Field Repair Bot 74A is wanted, since the famous 4th generation repair bot Jeeves requires 2 of them. Because there are "very few people who have played World Of Warcraft before Burning Crusade, this schematic is rare. Even fewer even know where to get it, and finally, almost all players have changed their engineering professions, thus making engineers who can create the bot extremely rare."

Now I'm sure that WoW hit the 10 million milestone before TBC was launched, I know it had over 9 million by this time. Does the contributor mean to say "Because there are very few people who have played World Of Warcraft before Burning Crusade who continue to play today"? Because this might be true, I don't know the rate of turnover for new players (I, for one, will have been playing for 6 years in february and I still play with many who were around back then but I could be a rare exception).

Is it more likely that many players have changed from Engineering several times over the years due to the changes in the profession? By Burning Crusade many engineers felt their choice of profession was useless (with the possible exception of hunters) and had given it up (much to their regret when the engineering mounts began to emerge), leading to the profession being revamped (though I'm not completely sure what changes were made, I've never played an engineer beyond TBC). Timewarped[]

The Questgivers have moved inside the instance, and the Twilight's Hammer have new structures all over, namely the "Elemental portals" in their wing, both these indicate the instance "Moved on" with the Cataclysm, however Dagran is still in charge and Moira is still doing her Slave Leia act, indicating the instance is "Back in time," is this worth noting?DarkIronFan (talk) 05:44, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
