If the article is right, in phase 1, the healers should get far away from the Boss in order to heal the tank(s)
In Phase 2, if there's a shadow priest in the raid, and a druid or 2, it's recommended the healers get closer so they can heal easier.
In Phase 3, there should be a tank rotation, and other melees should also get away from the boss, so they don't die of the aura.

Seethe[]
seethe is not always cast at the start of phase 3, if you tab and target the boss before it starts moving, it doesn't have a target so you can taunt / shield slam safely and dps can start sooner (debatable whether this gives more dps overall, ie more time to dps vs more initial threat for the MT when seethe is cast)
i have never seen seethe cast during our many EoS kills, exccept for when we tried to trigger it deliberately

- It appears that using a Hunter's Misdirect on Phase 3, to the main tank, whether the main tank has aggro or not, just to increase his threat, will cause a Seethe to proc. If anyone can verify if this is entirely true or not, I find it would be a useful addition to the article. Furinaux (talk) 03:43, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

- I don't think a lot of the bosses they put in the game have a background... or at least they don't publish it... Like Thaddius, why does he say "You are too late... I... must... OBEY!"? At least in Wrath some questions were answered about him...

Is this boss optional or do you have to kill it to get to Illidan?
- This boss has to die along with Gurtogg Bloodboil, Shade of Akama, and Teron Gorefiend to get to Mother Shahraz...who has to be killed to get to the Illidari Council...who has to be killed to get to Illidan. Alatur (talk) 00:03, August 29, 2010 (UTC)
