Capital[]

They are a large faction in WoW... Do they need a faction box? What is their capitol, Undermine or Gadgetzan? --SWM2448 21:37, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

The Goblin capitol is Undermine, which is on one of the islands south of the Maelstrom. We have yet to find out any more details than that, including whether the Steamwheedle Cartel or the Venture Company treat this as their similar capitol. Given that each Cartel faction has an assigned city, and Venture Company has no faction standing, it seems to be a moot point. Cgousha 21:40, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Regardless of the hinting, it is unlikely that Steamwheedle is controlled by the same person as the Venture Co. It is more likely that there are goblins who operate within the Steamwheedle umbrella that work alongside with Venture Co. based soley upon greed. There are many quests, such as stealing a Buzzer Machine (Ratchet Escort), or machinery plans for Buzzer Machines for members of the Steamwheedle faction which suggests that they are not working hand-in-hand as an organization since they are fighting with and stealing from each other. This is "not good for business." Until otherwise stated officially, it should not be stated anywhere that Steamwheedle is run by or is a subsidiary of Venture Co. -ChaseVRocket
The in-game faction description for the Steamwheedle Cartel states that Gadgetzan is the capital of the Steamwheedle Cartel. Also I'm not sure the Venture Company is a Cartel (it's not called the Venture Cartel) so perhaps it is part of a larger Cartel. Xarantaur (talk) 15:31, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

K3[]

Is the Goblin city of K3 in Storm Peaks Steamwheedle affiliated? If so it should be added to the list. Mogaranu (talk) 04:41, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

As of yet it hasn't been stated anywhere who they are affiliated with (if they are affiliated with anyone , and not an organizations operating by thmeselves), so i think we should wait with adding them the list. Aedror42 (talk) 22:42, November 4, 2009 (UTC)

Not Neutral?![]

One day, I was in Ratchet just going about my own business when suddenly another Rogue felt compelled to Sap me. He did so right in front of the guards, who did nothing in return may I add. Now... this would be all fine and dandy... if they didn't attack me when I did it. I am Friendly with Ratchet and have not tested Sapping out in their town, but I assume it would not work because it aggro's the Booty Bay Bruisers and the Gadgetzan ones as well. Being level 46 I have not yet been to Everlook or anywhere else affiliated with the Cartel. --Yakeshi (talk) 22:06, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Sounds like a bug to me. Xarantaur (talk) 08:09, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Cataclysm[]

In the prequel to Cataclysm, A trade prince gives Baine help in order to take back Thunder Bluff. I keep on forgetting his name. He resides in ratchet. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wdave (talk · contr). 22:37, 28 October 2010

Need Cata updates[]

An updated rep guide is needed. There seems to be a lot of "This gives you rep and you can repeat it! *(But not in Cata)" notes. This gets somewhat confusing. People need to know the quests and mobs, and how to get to those mobs, and if there are actually any repeatables left. The old info can of course be squirreled away for historical purposes.--Mondoblasto (talk) 20:35, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Steamwheedle Cartel quest givers = Useless[]

Steamwheedle Cartel: Outside of their cities, the most useless quest givers in the game. I don't even bother with their quest givers any more.--Mondoblasto (talk) 06:15, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Is there a point here?--SWM2448 19:44, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Factions?[]

What about to split the articles like Booty Bay, Ratchet... to articles Booty Bay (City), Booty Bay (Faction)...? --Mordecay (talk) 10:23, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

I do not think there is really enough for that.--SWM2448 17:02, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
Well, there are separates pages for all factions of races such as Exodar which isnt so big. I would imagine to have some info from wow to cata, related quests, rep and so on in factions articles and the pages of cities would be as any other article of a city.--Mordecay (talk) 18:27, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

NECRO! Would years and new blood change the stance on this? --Mordecay (talk) 21:48, 21 December 2017 (UTC)

Meh, there's not much more to say than then D: Xporc (talk) 21:51, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
Like with Taunka, none of the individual goblin reps actually do anything beyond being criteria for an achievement, so I don't see any reason to split them. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 21:59, 21 December 2017 (UTC)
