Armed with both Kardan and Voldana he journeyed there to rescue the missing villagers, after some minor battles a vile [[satyr]] known as [[Terestian Illhoof]] appeared......after a hasty decision to retreat and the evils of Karazhan hot on there heels it dawned on him that there lead was closing and neither him nor his companions would make it to safety he turned and confronted the darkened hordes of [[Karazhan]] and done battle with the [[satyr]], after a short battle the satyr emerged the victor only to find Kurdan and Voldana Gone. Many years later two women appear in karazhan....he immediantly regognized both of them and sends them visions to scare them enough to make them leave and to alert them to the mortal peril they face and after both women ignore these warnings and slay countless [[monsters]] they are eventually confronted with there fathers murderer, [[Loania]] and Lieren defeat and execute Illhoof but Loania is injured, They come upon [[Nielas Aran]] who tries to enscorcell Lieren but after Loania calling out to her father Dougan arrives just in time to save his daughter. He immediantly tells them that that his soul is trapped forever within karazhan but he has come to terms with that, He orderes them to teleport out of karazhan and turns to hold off the same minions of darkness that so plauged him and his other two companions, in a repeat of his former courage he holds off all the monsters while a weakened Loania draws upon her sisters strength to beat the pull of Karazhan. Lieren having been the sole power source for such a powerful piece of magic needed to beat the pull of karazhan however is left with grey hair and a reduced lifespan, it serves remind herself of the sacrifices her and her twin made to try and free there father. |

| − | Dougan was a typical [[paladin]], centered around doing good and ready to sacrifice himself at the slightest indication that it is necessary, he loved his family but never actually got to show that love much as he was always away fighting ([[third war]] etc.) and this is express when he again risked his [[spirit]] to protect both [[Loania]] and [[Lieren]] while they teleported out of the cursed tower, his spirit remained unbroken however while dammed to [[karazhan]] showing great courage and willpower. |

Dougan is a human paladin who fought with Kardan and Voldana during the Second War in battling the Horde. In the aftermath of the war, he settled near Grand Hamlet with his wife Adena and his twin baby girls: Loania and Lieren. Dougan set out with Kardan and Voldana to rescue several villagers who had been reported missing from investigating the cursed tower of Karazhan.[1] He fell in a battle with Terestian Illhoof.
