Notes[]

  • Earthquake is the primary AoE ability for elemental specced shaman. The knockdown is useful for trash fights in instances, and if enemy players can be made to stand in the effect, it can be useful in PvP as well.
  • Earthquake's knockdown effect has a duration of 1 second, and is not affected by diminishing returns. It can only affect each target once per cast.
  • The spell first appeared in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos as the ultimate hero spell of orcish Far Seers.

    Developers' note: This is not a change in functionality, only a clarification on the spell's tooltip.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.0.5 (2023-01-24): Damage increased by 10%.
  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2022-11-01): Damage increased by 10%.
