Entangled Gold Mine (Warcraft III)
|This article or section needs Boilerplating.|
- For lore about gold mines, see Gold mine. For gameplay information about the structure, see Warcraft III structures.
Entangled Gold Mines are units created using the Night Elf building Tree of Life and its upgraded forms. This was not a building nor really a unit, as it was not built by wisps but created by an ability of the Tree of Life that trapped a gold mine in roots. This entanglement allows the Tree of Life to collect gold from it automatically, without assigning units to mine. In order for another player to mine gold from it, however, they either had to destroy the roots or the Tree of Life itself, giving the mine some degree of protection.
- Patch 1.10 (2003-07-03):
- An "Occupied" graphic now appears over Orc Burrows, Goblin Zeppelins, Entangled Gold Mines, etc. This allows players to quickly tell how many units are currently occupying a structure or transport.
- Undead Acolytes and Night Elf Wisps that are rallied to an incomplete Entangled or Haunted Gold Mine will now automatically begin to mine once the structure is completed.
