  • Legion Patch 7.2.5 (2017-06-13): Explosive Trap now has a damage radius of 8 yards (was 5 yards).
  • Legion Hotfix (2017-01-17): Direct damage increased by 7%. Damage over time increased by 12%.
  • Legion Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Explosive Trap is now a targeted ability with a 40-yard range.

  • Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): The damage from this trap will now scale properly with the hunter's attack power.
  • Wrath of the Lich King Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): No longer a trigger for [Entrapment].
  • Wrath of the Lich King Hotfix (2009-04-16): "T.N.T. should now properly increase the damage of Explosive Trap."
  • The Burning Crusade Patch 2.4.3 (2008-07-15): Corrected an issue where the initial trigger or activation sounds could not be heard by some players.
  • The Burning Crusade Patch 2.3.0 (2007-11-13): The initial damage dealt by this trap is now also increased by 10% of your ranged attack power.
  • WoW Icon update.png Patch 1.7.0 (2005-09-22): Fixed a bug where lower level versions of Explosive Trap were being resisted more than they should be.
  • WoW Icon update.png Patch 1.6.0 (2005-07-12): Fixed a bug where the trap's effects suffered inappropriate damage reduction against high level targets. In addition, damage caused by this trap should no longer kill opponents in duels.
