"The Grimy Goons sure picked a flattering name for themselves. They’re your gangsters and weapon smugglers, eager to make their coin by equipping Gadgetzan with all sorts of untested and illegal weaponry. They’re easy to pick out of a crowd; you can usually smell ‘em before you see ‘em, but watch out for ill-fitting brown vests and garish orange ties. What they don’t have in brains, they make up with brawn."[1]

The Grimy Goons are one of the three crime factions active in Gadgetzan in the Mean Streets of Gadgetzan expansion for Hearthstone. Representing the disorganized crime of Gadgetzan, the Goons make their money with petty crimes, bank robberies, extortion, blackmailing and, above all, their speciality and major source of income: the smuggling and trade of illegal weapons.[2][3]

The three classes that make up the Grimy Goons are hunter, paladin and warrior. Hunters are "amazin' shots" and represent the gun smuggling aspect of the faction, while the paladins and warriors represent the fact that the Goons are the self-proclaimed law in Gadgetzan and make up the enforcers and brutes on the city streets. "You ain't never met an enforcer like an angry paladin", and they ensure that everyone on Grimestreet follows the rules, while warriors are "natural rough n' tumble types".[2][3]

Considering themselves the toughest family in Gadgetzan, the Grimy Goons control the Grimestreet neighborhood. Their leader, the two-headed ogre Don Han'Cho, recently acquired the First Bank of Gadgetzan, takes a cut from the loot fenced at the Gadgetzan Emporium, and is currently preparing for a hostile takeover of all of Gadgetzan. For this reason, he has been stockpiling weapons and recruiting new Goons non-stop, and now sports the most muscle in the city and has arsenals stashed down every side-street and bolt-hole.[3]

The Goons specialize in powerful weapons, including some "very choice engineering" and unusual weapons like piranha launchers and rock spitters. Hobart Grapplehammer and his people dole out upgraded gear through the city's pawn shops, and the Goons also have access to powerful beasts from Gadgetzan's arena. The typical attire of the Goons includes hats, ill-fitting brown vests, pinstripes, orange ties and suspenders; while not mandatory, this type of clothing helps identify members of the Grimy Goons during fights.[1][3]
