Khadgar is a young mage of 17 or 18,[4][5] and ex-student of the Kirin Tor. Following his aid to the forces of Stormwind during the invasion of the orcs, Khadgar appears to be a trusted advisor to the throne, and the burgeoning Alliance.
Although no longer a member of the Kirin Tor, the teenager has proven himself to be a formidable mage, stronger in some ways even than the former Guardian Medivh.[6] Indeed, Khadgar could have been Guardian had things been different.[7]
History[]
When Khadgar was 6, he was given to the Kirin Tor by his parents to study as a mage. At the age of 11 he would become the Guardian Novitiate, in line to replace Medivh as the next Guardian of Azeroth.[8][9]
However, at the age of 17, he decided to leave the Kirin Tor and Dalaran, not considering himself "Guardian material".[9] While him being given to the Kirin Tor was considered a great honor, him leaving the order was decidedly not.

Appearance[]
When Lothar first meets Khadgar, he is described as "a rather dirty, scruffy teenage boy" with "huge brown eyes".[5] He has brown hair.[9]
Shortly after the closing of the Great Gate he is described as having at least somewhat grey hair, with an ugly scar that runs from chin to eye.[10]
