Sputtervalve is a goblin quest giver located at Nozzlepot's Outpost in the Northern Barrens. Despite being independent and friendly to both factions, he is affiliated with the Bilgewater Cartel and offers quests only to Horde players.
Before the Cataclysm, he was located at Ratchet and was a member of the Tinkers' Union and had been placed in charge of shredder development and research by Director Riddlevox: he is still doing this on his own. He has a strict deadline on getting information regarding the Shredders and has resorted to stealing information from the Venture Company, whose "new Shredders are better than (his) latest, with interchangeable hands and control grips". He will resort to "borrowing" schemata and other things if needed.
