Darkvire died when Magni Bronzebeard sent a rescue team came to rescue his daughter Moira. They were bestowed with the in exchange for their assistance.
His daughter, Fenella Darkvire, who does not share his bad reputation, is now one of the premier architects of Queen Moira Thaurissan. Ironically, his poor reputation was not of his own doing, but his daughter's, who presented stolen plans to the Emperor in his name. In order to protect her reputation, as his was tarnished, he went along with the deception; eventually leading to his death.
Chief Architect Fineous Darkvire earned his title by passing off the ideas of more gifted masons as his own.
