Where is patch 3.9 in the chain. Patch 3.3.5a points to 4.0 instead of 3.9.0. And patch 4.0 points back to 3.3.5a instead of 3.9.0. Why is that?

- No details on it yet besides some passing mentions from some blues. --Pcj (T •C ) 14:03, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Is there even going to be a patch 3.9? The only source for that number was a conjecture based on the official site, which listed the Gnomeregan/Echo Isles event as "3p9". However, the files for that event are in 3.3.5 already, it just isn't activated on the servers yet. - Sikon (talk) 14:30, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
- It was also mentioned at http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=25626575587&sid=1 --Pcj (T •C ) 14:32, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm, didn't see that one. Now that 3.9.0 has been confirmed by Blizzard, I think it makes sense to insert it between 3.3.5a and 4.0.0. - Sikon (talk) 14:47, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

- Yeah, that is fairly solid confirmation. Even if it doesn't turn out to occur, we can just get rid of the page again (or archive it as a record of the confusion). Kirkburn talk contr 10:01, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
- We also don't have any details on what would be in that patch. It seems a little premature to put up a patch page with no notes on it besides "this patch will exist." -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 16:28, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
- It is strongly implied it could coincide with the release of the gnome and troll events, so that's something? Kirkburn talk contr 18:03, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
- No, they've already explicitly stated otherwise on that note, which was why the 3.9 page was deleted in the first place. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 18:04, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
