Gath'Ilzogg allied with human warlock Morganth. Fueled by Morganth's evil magic, the Blackrock orcs besieged Stonewatch Keep in Redridge which resulted in Alliance defeat. Shortly after their victory, Morganth turned on his orcish cohorts. He built a small army of Shadowhide gnolls led by Lieutenant Fangore. Both orc and man have fallen victim to the brutes that serve Morganth.[1]

It is known that Gath'Ilzogg also led raids against the township of Lakeshire. He is reportedly holed up in the recently conquered keep plotting the Blackrock clan's further crimes against humanity. Magistrate Solomon thinks he is extremely dangerous and has put a bounty on Gath'Ilzogg's head.[2]

At his side is the black dragon whelp Singe, who may be a present from Victor Nefarius for the successful attack on Stonewatch Keep.

Gath'Ilzogg's alliance with Morganth was replaced by one with Grand Magus Doane. The orc returns near the conclusion of the Redridge Mountains storyline as a death knight to be faced outside Stonewatch Keep. Colonel Troteman sends Bravo Company to kill him and Tharil'zun.[3]

While he used to wield a sword and shield, the death knight now wields a two-handed axe, possibly the one Martek the Exiled forged for him.
