High Command is the name given to refer to the supreme leadership and authority of several armies, including the Alliance of Lordaeron, Alliance and modern Horde.
Second War
The High Command led the Alliance of Lordaeron during the events of the Second War and the Invasion of Draenor. Although it is mentioned several times during the mission briefings of the Alliance campaigns in Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness and Warcraft II: Beyond the Dark Portal, it is never made clear who exactly its leaders are or how many members it is composed of.
Nethergarde Keep was notably constructed after Khadgar convinced High Command monitoring the Dark Portal was necessary to ensure that there would be no further invasions from Draenor.[1]

Possible members of the High Command were key leaders and commanders of the Alliance nations, including:
King Terenas, leader of the nation of Lordaeron.- Grand Admiral Daelin Proudmoore, leader of the nation of Kul Tiras.
- Thoras Trollbane, leader of the nation of Stromgarde.
- Sir Anduin Lothar, Regent Lord of Stormwind and Supreme Commander of the Alliance forces.
- The Kirin Tor, ruling council of the nation of Dalaran.
Whether or not Genn Greymane, leader of the nation of Gilneas, or Lord Perenolde, ruler of the nation of Alterac, were potential members of the High Command as well is unknown. However, it is unlikely given their weak support and commitment to the armies of the Alliance during the Second War. Other Alliance heroes which may have been a part of the High Command include Sir Uther the Lightbringer, Alleria Windrunner, Danath Trollbane, Khadgar, Turalyon, and Kurdran Wildhammer.
World of Warcraft
Alliance High Command
A high command has been mentioned as existing even in the new Alliance.[2][3][4][5]
High Commander Halford Wyrmbane is a member of the Alliance high command.[6]
Horde High Command
A high command has been mentioned as existing in the modern Horde.[7]
Overlord Krom'gar was a member of the Horde high command,[8] as well as Warlord Gar'dul and Warlord Bloodhilt.[9]
Forsaken High Command

The Forsaken had an high command during their war effort in the Hillsbrad Foothills before the Cataclysm,[10][11] as well as in Silverpine Forest, led by Grand Executor Mortuus, after the Cataclysm.
The Forsaken High Command is still active[12] and tried to conquer Gilneas.[13]
High Command was to decide the fate of prisoners of war.[14]
Blackrock high command
During their assault on the Redridge Mountains, the Blackrock clan had an high command composed of Tharil'zun and Gath'Ilzogg.[15]
Protectorate High Command
The Protectorate also has its own high command.[16]
Burning Legion high command

The Burning Legion has a trio of eredar high commanders based in Antorus, the Burning Throne.
Trivia
- In the canceled Warcraft Adventures, Alliance High Command was credited as having reasons to believe that Grommash Hellscream and his Warsong clan were rebelling against the internment camps authorities.
