Revision as of 12:28, 7 April 2013
An innkeeper is an NPC, typically inside an inn, that offers characters the opportunity to create a binding point for a [Hearthstone]. Most innkeepers are also either general goods vendors or food and drink vendors, though some innkeepers do not sell anything at all. In the uncommon case that an Innkeeper is not also a merchant, his/her only reaction to being spoken to is to set your home to their inn.
When using the tracking system with the minimap they will appear with a hearthstone () at their locations. This may not always help as some locations that may contain an inn may not contain an innkeeper.
To set or change the bind point for your [Hearthstone], talk to an innkeeper and click make this inn your home.
If you have destroyed your [Hearthstone] you will get a new one when you set the bind point with an innkeeper.
As of patch 2.3, your pointer changes when you move it over an innkeeper NPC who you can bind to:
Alliance innkeepers
Horde innkeepers
* Innkeeper Lutz is only available after completion of the quest Quest:Traitor's Bait.
Neutral innkeepers
* Lodge-Matron Embla turns friendly after completion of the quest [79] The Crone's Bargain.
** Initiate Brenners is only available after completion of the quest / [80] If He Cannot Be Turned.
