The Lightning Protector was an enchanted keeper of the grove who Tyrande killed because it was guarding the Horn of Cenarius. She needed the Horn of Cenarius to wake Furion.

Spells and abilities

Storm Bolt

A magical hammer that is thrown at an enemy unit, causing damage and stunning the target.
225 damage and stun.

Chain Lightning

Hurls a bolt of damaging lightning at a target enemy that jumps to nearby enemies.
Each jump deals less damage.
125 damage, jumps 6 times

Lightning Shield

Forms a shield of electricity around a target unit, dealing 20 damage per second to units around it.

Evasion (Passive)

Gives the Guardian a chance to avoid attacks.
20% chance opponent misses

  • Lightning Shield cooldown increased to 3 from 0.
Patch 1.10 (07/01/2003)
  • Chain Lightning base damage reduced to 85/125/180 from 100/140/180.
  • Lightning Shield range increased to 600 from 500.
Patch 1.13 (12/17/2003)
  • Storm Bolt stun is now 5 seconds vs. units and 3 seconds vs. Heroes at all
levels. Previously, it had this level of stun at level 1, but went up 2
seconds vs. units and one second vs. Heroes each level. Additionally,
level-2 and level-3 damage are now 225 from 200, and 350 from 300.
