Long-tailed Moles are critters usually found in caves and other underground areas, such as Ironforge in Dun Morogh; the Mosh'Ogg Ogre Mound in Northern Stranglethorn; and the Crystalvein Mine in the Cape of Stranglethorn. They can also appear as secondary opponents during pet battles with other critters in zones where they're present.

- Long-tailed Moles are one of only three examples of moles as animals in World of Warcraft. The others are [Dead Mole] and Darnak the Tunneler. Darnak has a rat model, but its portrait depicts a mole.
