Mage Hunter Ascendants are blood elves and humans located in The Nexus. There are three different versions of this mob: One that casts Fire spells, one that casts Frost spells and one that casts Arcane spells.

Abilities

  • Spell arcane portalironforge.png  Aura of Arcane Haste — Increases the casting speed of the caster by 15% and spell damage by 0[sic] for 1 min.

Fire version

  • Spell fire flamebolt.png  Fireball — Inflicts Fire damage to an enemy.
  • Spell fire flameshock.png  Immolation Trap — Place a fire trap that will burn the first enemy to approach for 144 Fire damage over 1 min. Trap will exist for 1 min. Only one trap can be active at a time.
  • Spell shadow rainoffire.png  Rain of Fire — Calls down a molten rain, burning all enemies in a selected area for 1400 Fire damage every 3 sec. for 9 sec.

Frost version

  • Spell frost glacier.png  Cone of Cold — Inflicts Frost damage to enemies in a cone in front of the caster, reducing their movement speed for 8 sec.
  • Spell frost chainsofice.png  Freezing Trap — Place a frost trap that freezes the first enemy that approaches, preventing all action for up to 1 min. Any damage caused will break the ice. Trap will exist for 1 min. Only one trap can be active at a time.
  • Spell frost frostbolt02.png  Frostbolt — Inflicts Frost damage to nearby enemies, reducing their movement speed for 4 sec.

Arcane version

  • Spell nature wispsplode.png  Arcane Explosion — Sends out a blast wave of magic, inflicting 50 Arcane damage to nearby enemies.
  • Spell arcane arcane04.png  Arcane Trap — Place an arcane trap that sends out a blast wave of magic, inflicting 150 Arcane damage to nearby enemies. Trap will exist for 1 min.
  • Spell nature polymorph.png  Polymorph — Transforms an enemy into a sheep, forcing it to wander around for up to 6 sec. While wandering, the sheep cannot attack or cast spells. Any damage will transform the target back into its normal form. Only one target can be polymorphed at a time. Only works on beasts, dragons, giants, humanoids, and critters.
