Magocracy is a term used to describe a government ruled by magi. The city-State of Dalaran is one such magocracy.^[1] Its ruling magocrats^[2]^[3]^[4] later formed the Kirin Tor, and the Council of Six became the ruling body of the city-state.^[5]

Trivia

Magocracy literally means "the rule of the magi". "Mago-" comes from mage, and "-cracy" comes from the Greek "κρατέω" (krateo), meaning "to rule".
