|Title||<Champion of the Shadows>|
|Location||Lion's Landing, Krasarang Wilds|
Mavis Harms is one of three Alliance champions found at Lion's Landing in eastern Krasarang Wilds. She is only attackable by Horde players, but there are equivalent Horde champions. Mavis spawns by the northernmost dock on the pier of Lion's Landing. Mavis hits hard and fast for a world mob and has several lethal abilities. Bringing friends is advised although she is possible to kill solo.
- Shank Melee range 1.5 sec cast. Uninterruptible. Triggers a 3-second stun
- Mortal Throw 15-25 yd range — Inflicts 60% of the target's health as Physical damage. 2 sec cast. Uninterruptible.
Mavis is found near several alliance mobs, including some that patrol; it is usually advisable either to kill these mobs beforehand, or pull her away to an emptier area. However, Mavis does not require much room to fight. Perhaps the simplest option is to kite Mavis into the water, although this can make evading her Shank ability somewhat harder.
Mavis deals melee damage and is difficult to kite, due to Mortal Throw. This ability deals very large amounts of damage, but can be avoided entirely by remaining within 15 yards of Mavis at all times. Every so often Mavis will use Shank, stunning her target for 3 seconds. This can be avoided by moving away from her when she casts it, although she will probably attempt to cast it again fairly soon. However, since Mavis relies on melee auto-attacks to deal damage, avoiding Shank is mostly only a concern in terms of the time that is wasted while stunned; sufficiently powerful players can easily defeat Mavis without worrying about this ability. Mavis' final ability, Shadowblink, will cause her to teleport randomly a short distance from her current location. Since she relies on being within melee range to deal damage, this usually only has the effect of interrupting her melee attacks. The main risk of this ability is the possibility that she will immediately follow it with Mortal Throw; however, this appears only to happen when the player is moving away from her position, or sometimes when she is being snared.
