The Miners' League (or Miners' Union)[1] is a group of dwarven miners. A Inv letter 13 [Miners' Union Card] is issued to prospectors who have skills in mining, and can be used to identify them.[1]

One of their assignments was to rid the Gol'Bolar Quarry of the troggs infesting it. Since the situation became unmanageable, Quarrymaster Thesten was in charge of the mining operations, while Foreman Stonebrow asked adventurers to kill many troggs in exchange for rewards, as his health deteriorated due to stress and anger.[2]

At some point, the Silver Stream Mine ran dry and was converted by the Miners' League into a storage depot, until the Tunnel Rat kobolds moved in and began to use their dwarven tools. Although the mountaineers of Ironforge were sent to eliminate the vermin, the league asked to recover their gears and tools before the battle. Consequently, Gringer Stormpike sent adventurers to gather them.[3]

Previously the union was also partly in charge of the Deadmines, under the direction of Foreman Thistlenettle and Wilder Thistlenettle. However, one day the Defias Brotherhood attacked them during their work and the mine tunnel collapsed. Only Wilder managed to escape, while the rest of the company died and began to roam as restless undead. In Stormwind City, Wilder sent adventurers to find his brother, or at least his badge to give him some peace of mind, which they brought back after he transformed into a ghoul.[4] He also asked them to find their union cards, in order to make sure their families get some resolution from this tragedy.[1]

At some point, Alliance mages were sent to the Silver Stream Mine by Jennea Cannon, in order to create their wizard's robes with Charged Rift Gems left in crates by the Miner's League.[5]

Following the Cataclysm, the Silver Stream Mine was still infested by the Tunnel Rat [kobold]]s, and Gringer Stormpike sent once more the adventurers to gather the Miners' Gears before the mountaineers of Ironforge could launch their assault.[6]

In Dun Morogh, Sergeant Flinthammer sent adventurers to help the miners at the Gol'Bolar Quarry,[7] where Foreman Stonebrow was still concerned by the threat of the troggs. Still stressed and obsessed with killing every last one of them, Stonebrow sent once more the adventurers to eliminate a large number of troggs.[8]
