Not to be confused with Razormane tribe or Razorfen tribe.

The Razorbranch tribe was a troll tribe under control of the Gurubashi Empire roughly 16,000 years before the First War.[1] Nothing else is known about it.

This article or section includes speculation, observations or opinions possibly supported by lore or by Blizzard officials. It should not be taken as representing official lore.

The Razorbranch are the only troll tribe mentioned in Chronicle who are not described or mentioned anywhere else in earlier sources. It's also worth noting that the Sandfury tribe was originally a jungle troll tribe living on the fringes of the Gurubashi Empire prior to the Great Sundering, but they are not listed as one of the tribes under Gurubashi control on the Chronicle map of ancient troll territories, with the Razorbranch seemingly taking their place instead. Matt Burns has also stated that the Razorbranch eventually became something that players have seen in World of Warcraft.[2] Thus, it seems highly likely that the "Razorbranch tribe" was the original name of the Sandfury tribe before the Sandfury were separated from the rest of the Gurubashi during the Sundering, and likely also means that Tanaris was not always a desert (a theory which is supported by the revelation that the neighboring region of Uldum was once a lush jungle).
