Notes and trivia

Reckful loves you.
  • She is a tribute to Byron "Reckful" Bernstein, a notable World of Warcraft player and Twitch streamer who passed away on July 2, 2020. Following the news of Bernstein's death, many players gathered to pay tribute to him in the Cathedral of Light as well as Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar.[1][2][3]
  • Reckful's line "I don't train Assassination Rogues" refers to Bernstein's PvP reputation in Wrath of the Lich King. At the time, Assassination was considered the most powerful rogue specialization, but Bernstein wanted to prove that he did not need to play an overpowered spec to be good. He eventually reached the highest possible arena rating while playing as a Subtlety rogue and never training one of the core Assassination abilities, [Mutilate].[4]
  • Emoting /hug at Reckful will cause her to emote back Reckful hugs you. Emoting /love will cause her to emote Reckful loves you, perform a kiss animation, and momentarily sprout a pair of angelic wings.
  • Prior to Bernstein's death, Blizzard had previously paid homage to him in the form of Byron Burnside, a vendor in Tiragarde Sound.
