Render's Valley
Render's Valley prior to the Cataclysm

Render's Valley [71, 78] is an orcish outpost in the southeastern Redridge Mountains. The valley, much like Render's Camp and Render's Rock, is named after Rend Blackhand and contains a number of Blackrock orcs. The orcs here were originally not as powerful as their counterparts to the northwest, but their strength has increased dramatically since Deathwing's return.

The Blackrock orcs have since established a firmer hold here with a larger camp, towers, and elite mobs. Dragon riders now guard their camp.

Phasing

Following the quest A [18] Detonation in the Redridge Mountains storyline, the valley is reduced to a charred crater known as Render's Crater. According to John J. Keeshan, "Redridge'll heal, but them orcs sure won't..."

Notes

The floating orcs and tree stump

The phasing in this area was very buggy between Patch 4.0.3a and Patch 4.0.6. The orcish inhabitants, the cages with the Kidnapped Redridge Citizens, and some miscellaneous items have been observed to shift in and out of existence from time to time. (The tree stump in the screenshot at right is the same one seen in the above shot of the tower.) Flying by and around the east half of the zone after completing the quest caused a reaction of constantly striking an invisible ceiling every two seconds while in the air. Flying through where the interiors of the two buildings were could easily dismount a player and leave them to fall into the crater. While some of the previous fixtures can be seen from a certain distance, as of Patch 4.0.6 the situation has been vastly improved.

Prior to the Cataclysm, a Captured Servant of Azora in one of the valley's camps offered specialist tailoring supplies to adventurers who could reach him. He seems to have disappeared since then. Additionally, the mountains just south of Render's Valley once contained an "undocumented" and hard to find mountain pass to the Swamp of Sorrows.
