† Oceanic servers
Misha is a US-based PvE server. Server time is US Pacific Time, or UTC -8:00 (-7:00 during Daylight Savings).
The server was introduced on December 14th, 2006 to give players about a month's headstart on rerolling before the Burning Crusade expansion pack. Its current population level is medium with a lack of Horde players.
A brief history of Misha is given below:
- 1 Burning Crusade (The Decerto Era)
- 2 Wrath of the Lich King (The Apocalypse Era)
- 3 Cataclysm (The Unhallowed Era)

Burning Crusade (The Decerto Era)
Misha really began during the Burning Crusade era as the server had only come online a few weeks prior to its release. From the beginning it was heavily Alliance dominated as the Horde players were significantly outnumbered. The Alliance guild Decerto led the server progression capturing almost all major realm firsts from Karazhan through Black Temple. In 2nd place for most of the expansion was another Alliance guild Repentance who held that spot until midway through Tier 6. Other major Alliance guilds raiding at this time were Fallen Heroes and Pantheon who both had significant progress through Tier 5 and some of Tier 6.
On the Horde side raiding was much sparser and there were few guilds that made it past Karazhan by the time the expansion came to a close. Early raiding guilds included Eclipse (later renamed Phoenix), Visions of Grandeur, and Horde Dazed Knight. A few other guilds started raiding later than the aforementioned such as Villain, Apocalypse, and Unbridled Fury. Phoenix led all Horde guilds and for most of the expansion they were server 3rd behind the two alliance guilds. Apocalypse was the only other guild besides Phoenix to have success past Tier 4 and was even able to secure a Horde First Kael’thas. This was the only horde first that didn’t go to Phoenix. During Tier 6 progression both Phoenix and Apocalypse raced past Repentance to defeat Illidan for the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively creating a shift in dynamic on the server as 2 of the top 3 raiding guilds on the server were now Horde.
Sunwell was introduced late in Burning Crusade and was tuned for raiding guilds that had been farming Black Temple for months. Because of this, no guild on Misha had really been prepared for that level of tuning and as a result only a few guilds even made attempts on a boss in Sunwell. The only kill prior to the major patch 3.02 raid boss nerf was on Kalecgos by Decerto.
Wrath of the Lich King (The Apocalypse Era)
Under new management, Apocalypse stormed out of the gate to cement itself as the top raiding guild on the server and would hold that spot until midway through Icecrown Citadel. Phoenix, which had been the dominant horde guild up to that point, was not too far behind as they managed to hold the 2nd spot on the server for much of the expansion. Behind those two guilds was a significant drop in progression. On the Horde side there were really only two other players in Villain and a newcomer Fat Chance.
On the Alliance side things were much different. Unlike the stability at the top on Horde Side, the former dominant Alliance guilds had either disbanded or changed management and took on a new identity. Though there were numerous Alliance guilds raiding at the time (relative to Horde) most were short lived or had limited success. Decerto continued to raid through Ulduar but disbanded/stopped raiding shortly after. Repentance was still around and made consistent progress for most of Wrath. New Alliance guilds such as Awaken, Blue Moon, and Kings Guard had popped up on the 25 man raiding scene as well as a few others.
Wrath of the Lich King introduced 10 man raiding and by the time the expansion was over the effect had taken its toll on the server. The raiding scene at the end of Wrath resembled nothing from the beginning of Wrath. Nearly all 25 man raiding had died off and no one would kill Heroic Lich King or Heroic Halion at the 25 man level. The landscape had changed and numerous 10 man guilds started forming. On the Alliance side Weapon of Choice had for a time cemented itself as the premier 10 man guild with a strong Tier 8 performance. Their success was however short lived and it was the alliance 10 man guild Ne Plus Ultra which took the server first Lich King Normal kill. They too however had a short stay as they disbanded some time during ICC heroic progression.
During the final Tier of the expansion Apocalypse, which had led the torch for most of the expansion, disbanded. This left Phoenix in the top spot which they held all the way to 11/12 Heroic ICC but the wrath of the Lich King was too strong as they too disbanded before reaching the pinnacle. Meanwhile a new 10 man guild on Horde named Unhallowed had formed sometime late in the expansion. They were one of the few guilds to battle Heroic Lich King for the long period of time that it required and finally secured the realm first. They also managed to land the server first Heroic Halion kill (also 10 man). Unknown at the time, this would be a foreshadowing of things to come for the next couple of years. The only other guild to secure a Heroic Lich King kill while it was relevant was the Alliance guild Fallen Heroes who somewhere along the way downsized from 25 man raiding to 10 man raiding.
Cataclysm (The Unhallowed Era)
By the time Cataclysm had rolled around nearly all 25 man raiding had come to a halt. The last remaining 25 man guild was an Alliance guild named Equinox and against all odds they managed to stay that way all through the expansion. Cataclysm attempted to equalize the difficulty of 10 man and 25 man difficulty as well as the loot that dropped from both. This sharp increase in difficulty in 10 mans especially in the first tier caused numerous guilds to disband.
Unhallowed took home every major heroic server first during this expansion, and for the first time since Decerto in Burning Crusade, had dominated from start to finish. They were the only guild to clear every tier and the only guild that had cleared T11 and T12. Despite the top guild on the server being horde side, the horde population continued to dwindle as without many raiding opportunities, many horde transferred off the server in search of greener pastures. A few other notable raiding guilds on Horde during this expansion were Vex, Progression Pug, and New Era which all saw some varied success in terms of heroic progression.
On the Alliance side the expansion started with two 10 man guilds primarily competing for the top Alliance spot: Fallen Heroes and Afterlife. At the end of Tier 11, Afterlife had pulled in to the top Alliance spot where it would remain until it disbanded some time during Tier 12. This left the door open for Fallen Heroes to take the top Alliance spot and server 2nd going into Tier 13.
Tier 13 was arguably one of the worst tiers introduced for its lack of difficulty and bland encounters. This however did allow for a lot of new guilds to form and have success in clearing heroic bosses. While the Horde raiding guilds remained the same and Unhallowed in the driver’s seat, the Alliance saw the rise of 10 man guild called Swagger take the faction first Heroic Deathwing. They were followed by King’s Guard which had gone through somewhat of a resurgence. By the time Tier 13 and the expansion were done, 1 Horde guild and 7 Alliance guilds had killed Heroic Deathwing. That tally of 8 is the most to clear an end wing boss since the formation of the server .

Adding your own kills
If you have a kill to add, mind the layout. Each progression table is done in order of clear date. When adding additional kills to a guild that already exists it's as easy as finding the right column and writing "Dead", or preferably the date (mm/dd/yy). However when adding a new guild you have to take into account that you are changing the way the table looks.
Let's just take an example from the Gruul's Lair list:
| Decerto || Dead || Dead || Dead
| Repentance || Dead || Dead || Dead
| Fallen Heroes || Dead || Dead || Dead
| Phoenix || Dead || Dead || Dead
The |- is an indication of a new line and what color the background should be, in this case default, with |-bgcolor="#222222" it's a lighter background, these values should be alternating, meaning that you have to correct each column from your guild and down to the end.
|| Marks the separation between one column and the next, || Dead (being Maulgar) || Dead (being Gruul) || Dead (being Magtheridon). It is important that you do not add more or fewer ||'s than there are columns, or it will look wrong.
If you are having trouble understanding it, then visit the Talk Page by pressing the Discussion tab, put in the kills you want listed, with a set of dates if available, and others will add them for you :)
