Shaman weapon buffs

Shaman have the ability to put temporary elemental buffs on their weapons. Only one buff can be active on a weapon at any time. Dual-wielding Enhancement Shaman can put separate buffs on their Main-hand and Off-hand weapons.

General information

A Shaman weapon buff temporarily gives a shaman's weapons additional properties for thirty minutes.

Weapon buffs can cause an additional effect to occur on successful melee attacks or can have steady effects. These effects vary greatly, from doing additional damage or healing to causing high amounts of threat or slowing the target. In addition, all weapon buffs have an "unleash" effect that is activated through using the [Unleash Elements] ability. Unleashing a buff does not consume it. Enhancement shaman who are Dual Wielding will activate the effects of both weapons simultaneously. Note that although the weapon buffs are learned from Level 10 upwards, the Unleash Elements ability is only learned at level 81.

All shaman weapon buffs last for 30 minutes.

Unleashes the Flametongue enchantment upon the Shaman's weapon, dealing 1023 to 1211 Fire damage to target enemy and increasing the damage dealt by the Shaman's next Fire spell by 20%.

26 [Frostbrand Weapon] Imbue the Shaman's weapon with frost. Each hit has a chance of causing 611 additional Frost damage and slowing the target's movement speed by 50% for 8 sec. Lasts 30 minutes. [Unleash Frost]

Unleashes the Frostbrand enchantment upon the Shaman's weapon, dealing 807 to 937 Frost damage to a target enemy and reducing their movement speed by 50% for 5 sec. Increased in effectiveness if the target is already afflicted by a movement-slowing Frost effect.

32 [Windfury Weapon] Imbue the Shaman's weapon with wind. Each hit has a 20% chance of triggering three extra attacks with 4430 bonus attack power. Lasts 30 minutes. [Unleash Wind]

Unleashes the Windfury enchantment upon the Shaman's weapon, dealing 125% of weapon damage to the target enemy and increasing the Shaman's melee attack speed by 40% for the next 6 swings or until 12 sec have elapsed.

54 [Earthliving Weapon] Imbue the Shaman's weapon with earthen life. Increases healing done by 531 and each heal has a 20% chance to trigger the Earthliving effect on the target, healing an additional 2304 over 12 sec. Lasts 30 minutes. [Unleash Life]

Unleashes the Earthliving enchantment upon the Shaman's weapon, healing a friendly target for 1916 to 2074 and increasing the effect of the Shaman's next direct heal by 20%.

75 [Rockbiter Weapon] IImbue the Shaman's weapon with the fury of the earth, increasing all threat generation by 30% and reducing damage taken by 5%. Lasts 30 minutes. [Unleash Earth]

Unleashes the Rockbiter enchantment upon the Shaman's weapon, forcing the target enemy to attack the Shaman for 5 sec.
