Southshore (often abbreviated as "SS") is an Alliance town located in the region of Hillsbrad Foothills.
History
During the Second War, Southshore was burned to the ground by the rampaging Horde. After the Horde's defeat it was rebuilt, though now much smaller in size. Miraculously, it and Hillsbrad were the only villages in Lordaeron that were spared destruction by both the Scourge and the demonic invasion of the Burning Legion. Now the small fishing village is the largest base the Alliance has in their former kingdom. The citizens of Southshore are threatened on many fronts, with The Syndicate occupying the former Durnholde Keep and much of the surrounding Alterac Mountains, a band of Ogres holed up in the former capital of Alterac, and a Horde base just a short journey away in the former town of Tarren Mill.
