Steamwheedle Port before the Cataclysm.

Steamwheedle Port was a port village on the east coast of the Tanaris desert. Belonging to the goblins' neutral Steamwheedle Cartel, it was connected by a road to its mother city of Gadgetzan and also had a dock for ships to and from Kezan. As the Cataclysm was about to start, the port reported tidal waves.[1] During the it was flooded and destroyed, turning into mostly underwater ruins. Many of its residents have gone missing or were killed by the destructive forces.

Steamwheedle Port was home to Yeh'kinya who started the Hakkar the Soulflayer storyline with the quest N [44] Screecher Spirits.

This small village was home to a more sedate population of goblins and peaceful trolls, who spend most of their time fishing and fighting off Southsea Pirates. They had several machines set up to turn salt water into fresh water, but these worked only on rare occasions.[2]
