Stormforged Valarjar are vrykul who have been transformed for their valor and heroism by the keeper Odyn, granting them new metallic forms and increased strength. These warriors make Skyhold their home, and are loyal to Odyn himself, and his chosen Battlelord.
Apart from celebrating in the Great Mead Hall in Skyhold, the Stormforged undertake missions in Odyn's name. With the third invasion of Azeroth by the Burning Legion, the Odyn has committed the Valarjar to fighting the demons alongside the other Class Orders. Since then, the Stormforged have taken part in numerous engagements, including a raid on Niskara, the Assault on Broken Shore, and the Argus Campaign.
History[]
Only vrykul who display immense valor in battle are chosen by Odyn to become Stormforged. For millennia, these warriors were trapped in Skyhold with Odyn himself, and have only regained their freedom with the Burning Legion's third invasion of Azeroth. The actions of the Battlelord would secure the support of the Valarjar and the Stormforged in the subsequent war against the demons.
When the keeper Hodir was captured by the Legion and taken to the prison world of Niskara, the Valarjar would launch a massive assault on to liberate him. Many Stormforged would take part in this attack, which ultimately succeeded in freeing Hodir and returning him to Skyhold. When the Armies of Legionfall was founded to battle the Legion on the Broken Shore, the Valarjar would send forces to the area to aid in the campaign (mainly based from Deliverance Point).
The Stormforged also took a small part in the Argus Campaign, with forces stationed on board the draenei ship known as the Vindicaar.
