Strengthen the Ancients
+250 Valiance Expedition
- Lothalor Ancient strengthened: (3)
Some have been corrupted-- avoid them at all costs--but most can still be saved. However, the treants of the woods seem to be immune to the magic seeping through the land and the arcane wyrms that have come with it.
Ask the treants for their bark and feed it to the ancients. Hopefully that will be enough to save them.
An added benefit of saving the ancients may turn out that they will consider assisting the Alliance with its hardships. Regardless, it is the right thing to do.
Now, how many were you able to strengthen, <class>?
Thank you, <race>! We've lost so much already. You've ensured that we won't lose the most majestic of Northrend's children.
I'll soon leave to speak with the ancients you saved and see if they will help us in our time of need.
Talk to a Woodlands Walker. They may just give you the bark, or they may turn hostile. Kill them and loot them if they attack. Use the Bark of the Walkers on friendly Lothalor Ancients. Watch out for Arcane Wyrms and the elite Corrupted Lothalor Ancients.

Those that are already corrupted are deadly and of no use to us, but most can still be saved. Luckily, the treants of the woods seem to be immune to everything happening up there.
Ask the treants for their bark and when you get some, feed it to the ancients. This should strengthen them.
Now leave me to my business! I have to keep an eye on these apothecaries.
You have my thanks, <class>.
As soon as I am done observing what these disgusting apothecaries are up to, I'll head to the woods and see if I can convince these ancients to side with us.
Or, if nothing else, I'll convince them not to attack those that saved them!
Upon completion of this quest you will gain:
- 20300 XP (or 4 86 at level 80)
