You'll believe a Tauren can fly!

Heh. Confirmed, you can use flying mounts and flight form and not lose your spark. Once it becomes an unstable spark it has a limited amount of time, though; I went to the wrong place on the other end of the area and it despawned before I could fly back. Had to start all over again.

This is also a pretty good area to farm motes of fire; I got around six off the 7 or 8 elementals I killed. Not sure how many you have to kill to have your pet go unstable, though. --Azaram 08:38, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Seems to be about six elementals; I may have lost count due to getting jumped by a demon at the same time I was fighting, tho. One possibility that may have caused the problem with the spark despawning when flying is either getting too high, or getting too far away, maybe? Unrelatedly, Doom Lord Kazzak seems to have an unusually tall aggro radius (I can usually fly through Durn the Hungerer or a fel reaver above waist height and they don't notice me, but Kazzak smacked me a good one and chased me halfway across the zone.) --Azaram 01:50, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Bah, I added the note for the first PTR build when getting in the air instantly despawned it... Suppose I can reword it at this point. --k_d3 02:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
It's 8 elementals (and I added that earlier)... If you have an epic flying mount/form, it is possible to get so far away from your spark that it looks like it despawned, but it will slowly catch up. I flew from the other side of the area to the gateway, waited a moment and it hadn't shown up, started to turn back and it appeared and blew up the gateway. --Azaram 02:41, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
Don't fly too high above the ground... Dwarf MaleKanaru discussion 21:50, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
