possible to get a category for this similar to time zone category? Category:Eastern_Time_Zone_servers
possible to get time zones on the connected realm page to help people find good realms? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Potatoekilla (talk · contr).
- For your first question, you're asking for a category of connected realms? I don't see the point of it. Eventually all servers will be connected to another one and the connected realms category would begin to look similar to Category:Servers.
- As for your second question, I could see that being useful... though would complicate the page more so than it is beginning to be. (Sssss/Slithered) 05:01, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
- Regarding question 1
- Currently, the only way I know to see a list of connected servers is to open every page and look for a header at the top that says whether it is connected or not. It's an inconvenience, not a roadblock.
- Going down the list of realms at http://wowpedia.org/Realms_List the first one I find that is connected is http://wowpedia.org/Server:Draenor_US
- This information is timely for players who are considering which realm to create a new character on. While Blizzard has stated that they plan to expand the connected server population, that probably won't be done for at least another year. In the meantime, Blizzard does not indicate realm population reliably, so the in-game realm chooser is not a good indicator of the vitality of a realm. Potatoekilla (talk) 04:17, 5 December 2013 (UTC)
