Real Hunter Weapons[]

I disagree with the writer on the passing point. If a weapon is a lot better then the one you're using by all means need it. Rogues, warriors and hunter share the loottable on this so by al means share the loot. Don't go out of your way with passsing for rogues and warriors, they should allow you to take a weapon since it's an upgrade for all. For all parties it comes all down to using common sense. --Montronax 09:22, 1 February 2007 (EST)

i'm going to guess you are not a part of a raiding guild ? an improvement of 4-6 AP on a weapon for a hunter, means very little,, while 4-6 AP improvement "plus" a 3-4 DPS increase on the melee side of the weapon will help your rogues perform a lot more dps, which in turn allows your guild better progress. i'm yet to see a raidleader give a dagger / sword to a hunter if it's a clear improvement to a rogue or warrior in the raid party. i'm sure in theory your comment works if you're in a "pug" where it's every man for himself. but generally, it'll be a rare thing. I'm part of a raiding guild, we have a very open loot system for raids based on DKP. General rule: "If you can use it you can bid on it" Yes, this means a hunter is allowed to bid on a Vis'Kag The Bloodletter, I don't know what a hunter would want with it, but he can bid. Akward? Sometimes yes, but the system works on the basis that everyone knows his/her class and knows what gear he can use. It's also because of this general rule that people don't start to ninja stuff because the classes you ninja it from can ninja back. It all comes down to common sense, a Brutality Blade for example is rogue, warrior and hunter loot, while the "smart" hunters will go for the Leaf, another will bid on it. I wonder why everybody sees the rogues as a primary source of DPS, while hunters (designed to be rogues on range) can dish out a shitload of DPS in a very short time. I have seen raid where, if the tank lost a mob, hunters always pulled agro of the rogues. Just because hunters only use the stats on the weapons in a very poor reason to pass for rogues and warriors. Yes, I'm "blessed" with a good guild ;-) --Montronax 19:37, 2 February 2007 (EST)

Table[]

Table in progress, any suggestions for the list... just edit the page :P

Sorting will come later. User:CrazyJack/Sig 08:20, 29 January 2007 (EST)

does the mongoose enchant work on ranged attacks?--Kramm 11:18, 29 January 2007 (EST)

Don't think it does. Most melee weapon enchants only work on melee weapons / melee attacks. cant be sure until someone tries it though. User:CrazyJack/Sig 04:02, 30 January 2007 (EST)

Can we create a 'real' non wiki table first... so much easier to edit, then write a little script to create the wiki code? It's easier to change things in such a table + code. But i have no idea where to store such a table. Is it possible to store such a file in a wiki? --Kramm 05:41, 31 January 2007 (EST)

XLS file you mean? User:CrazyJack/Sig 05:51, 31 January 2007 (EST)
whatever... i am using open office right now. i guess i can save it as a xls file --Kramm 06:17, 31 January 2007 (EST)
The new template (below) will make it a good bit easier to edit though. as you can simply fill in something like this:
  • {{:Hunter weapon/Row | stam=33 | agi=45 | name=the item name}} and have a valid working row.
to display this, the qiraj ripper has been done in this method now. Note that epic/rare highlights still need to be done, but table row colors can be set using the "color" tag. User:CrazyJack/Sig 07:49, 31 January 2007 (EST)

AEP[]

If you want the Blizzard values: 1 crit = 1 hit = 1 stat(except sta) = 2 ap = 1.33 sta. at level 70 22 crit rating = 1% crit and 40 agi = 1% crit. But i consider agi since the ap nerf of less importance and prefer crit and ap stats as they are cheaper (item value wise). --Kramm 04:48, 31 January 2007 (EST)
looking at stamina it appears to be 1.5, Jewel see the blue jewels. 8 int = 12 stamina. 8*1.5=12 . could be that the other gems simply have lower values than they should be though.
  • 1 Agility = 1.5 Stamina = 1 Intellect = 1 Crit rating = 1 Hit rating = 2 AP = 0,125 Sockets
  • 8 Agi = 12 Stam = 8 Int = 8 Crit rating = 8 Hit rating = 16 AP = 1 Empty socket

What's a good value for Mp/5 though? i get the impression that it's between 2.5 and 3. as the blue socket gems on Jewel indicate.

lets assume it's 3

  • 1mp5 = 3 points,
    • meaning it's less than the 4 spirit gem. 2mp/5 on the same quality gem would make it 6 points thus being unable to be of that rarity.
  • 2mp5 = 6 points, meaning it's equal to the 6 spirit gem.
  • 3mp5 = 9 points, which creates a paradox.

so if 1mp5 = 2.5, then this one would be

  • 1 = 2.5 , meaning the white gem is pretty crud.
  • 2 = 5, meaning it's 1 point under the 6 point gem with just stats
  • 3 = 7.5, meaning it's 0.5 points under the 8 point gem.
  • 4 = 10, meaning an epic gem with 10 stats would be able to have this stat.

you should use a seperate color for TBC weapons, i used the dark green one for now, but there may be better ones--Kramm 14:20, 30 January 2007 (EST)
Yes, i wanted to use the template for it though. but in time :P

Row colors :

      • default 272727
      • green 274027
      • darkdefault 222222
      • darkgreen 223522

Haste and Steady Shot[]

Is this a diminishing returns problem, or does too much haste actually cause a DPS loss due to clipping? -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 07:08, October 14, 2009 (UTC)
