Emperor prefix

Why is the article in Emperor prefix and not just Lei Shen? --g0urra[T҂C] 13:39, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Because when created it was "NPC articles which are based primarily on in-game content should be named using the NPC's in-game name" as of the damm WP:NNA that I still fight against

While unique to the game, this isn't really an NPC article.--SWM2448 21:07, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
Death to titles!

So this article should just be called Lei Shen then?--Ashbear160 (talk) 19:46, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
If I may, so I think that yes. There is no King Varian Wrynn / Warchief Garrosh Hellscream... just their names. However, there is Queen Azshara though not sure it is for purposes of the wiki or what.--Mordecay (talk) 19:54, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Because of the zone Azshara, it's just easier to have her at Queen Azshara, than Azshara (elf) or (naga). Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 22:07, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I thought so, just was not 100% sure.--Mordecay (talk) 22:45, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Quick note

That image I got from Patch 5.2 Wallpaper looks like it could be the official image in his biography page. Try to crop it. By the way, patch trailer was way better than Patch 4.3's trailer, just saying. --Darksora110 (talk) 17:35, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

Christopher Lee

None of those voices sound anything like Christopher Lee. The only reference is to Wikipedia, in which the Mists of Pandaria credit was added today, without citation. Can someone provide a legitimate source? Otherwise, this needs to go. -- DarkTZeratul (talk) 22:08, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

The Voice actor of Lei Shen was changed during PTR. First he sounded like this, now he sounds like this. So yes, he could be Christopher Lee...--LemonBaby (talk) 07:15, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
Eh... Closer, certainly, but I'd still really really like a citation rather than going based on "it sounds like it could be Christopher Lee." Especially because Blizzard's never made any secret before of when they hired big-name voice actors, and because it makes little sense to hire someone with a voice as iconic as Christopher Lee's, only to process it so heavily that it doesn't really sound like him anymore.
Of course, Michael Bay did the same thing with Hugo Weaving in Transformers, so what do I know? -- DarkTZeratul (talk) 07:36, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
You're probably right...--LemonBaby (talk) 08:06, 15 August 2013 (UTC)
As another note, his name does not appear under Voice Over Cast in the Mists of Pandaria credits. I'm thinking this one's bogus. -- DarkTZeratul (talk) 07:19, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
To contribute to the resurfaced debate regarding this… Searching in google for "christopher lee" "lei shen" produces just under 100 results. Having trawled through them all, I can't find anything except random people who apparently know or believe or have heard that he is voiced by Christopher Lee, but never provide any references. There is every likelihood this is entirely fuelled by speculation, or even the guy who posted it (without citation) on Wikipedia, and then of course it's spread from there. Somehow I can't help thinking that if this were genuine, there would be at least 1 actual reference on the entire internet, but I might be wrong.
My feeling is that unless we have an actual reference for this, we shouldn't state it. It seems so likely to be false that even with a 'citation needed' tag the statement will fuel the myth, and apparently no-one's been able to find a reference in over 6 months. -- Taohinton (talk) 01:45, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
It should also be pointed out that if they had used a legendary actor like Christopher Lee in the game, you would expect to find at least a tiny footnote in some press release somewhere mentioning it. -- Taohinton (talk) 01:58, 2 April 2014 (UTC)
This has now been officially disproven: the voice actor was Paul Nakauchi[1]. -- Taohinton (talk) 11:01, 20 May 2014 (UTC)
