Random Hero Names, Warcraft III

As with Nazgrel back in the day, there seem to be disagreement whether or not these random hero names in Warcraft III can determine hero class and questions of lore. I'd say no. There are campaign missions in the War3 games, which are counted official lore. Everything and everyone in these campaign missions is canon. Then there are the melee games, where you can play different heroes with about 10 or so varying names. These are not part of lore. Because of lack of creativity, these random hero names sometimes coincide the campaign apperances. Nazgrel was such a case - his model used was the Raider-unit, while his name was identical to one of the random Far Seer hero names. That didn't make him a far seer. Likewise, Morg Wolfsong uses the ordinary Shaman-unit model, with a Far Seer-name. This makes neither Morg nor Nazgrel worthy to be on this list of notable far seers. --Amargaard (talk) 05:47, 8 June 2018 (UTC)

Maybe I should have posted on the Farseer-talk page instead... --Amargaard (talk) 05:47, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
FYI, Nazgrel already appeared in Warcraft Adventures: Lord of the Clans and in the Lord of the Clans book before Warcraft III released :p Xporc (talk) 07:24, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
Nazgrel is not in the Lord of the Clans book at all. --Mordecay (talk) 10:30, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
Which, again, makes his ties with shamanism nothing but doubt on our behalf. Same with this lad - he's an ordinary shaman for all we know ^^ --Amargaard (talk) 11:43, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
