Rogue NPCs[]

I don't know if this happened in this patch but the rogue NPC's have energy instead of mana. Go check the vendors outside the entrace of ToC. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Swiftle (talk · contr).

I was in Deadmines today and noticed the Defias Blackguards have energy bars now; however, upon entering combat with me (they had previously been stealthed), the energy bars disapeared. Login Screen[]

I've read and re-read this line, can't figure out what it's supposed to mean. Anybody able to clarify? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dr.Cheis (talk · contr).

It means they changed the wording of the login screen - people were getting confused with Username - people coming back to the game who hadn't experienced the b.net shift didn't know that they had to sign in with their battle.net email account, instead of with their old wow username after the merge. Fishing hat[]

"Items: [Weather-Beaten Fishing Hat] no longer works on fishing poles below and including Inv fishingpole 01 [Seth's Graphite Fishing Pole]; A "Target is too low level" error message appears when attempting to use it."

What is lower? Lower item level, or lower fishing skill? Does it work on the Inv fishingpole 01 [Arcanite Fishing Pole], which has a lower level but increases fishing by a larger amount?Dr. Cheis (talk) 22:33, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Other lures[]

Still on fishing; I may have missed this in a previous patch as I've mostly just used my hat, but is this new? Right-clicking on a lure happened automatically to my equipped fishing pole, without my having to specify the pole as the target for the lure. Minor change, but definitely an improvement on the previous method. Steelforge (talk) 00:38, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

I just tried this with a regular lure (I don't have the fishing hat), and it seems that right-clicking the lure will cast the spell on your currently-equipped weapon, resulting in an error message if you don't have a fishing pole equipped. Small improvement, since the circumstances are few when you would stop and ask yourself "which of my items do I want to use this fishing lure on..." I haven't added it yet in case somebody wants to run comparisons between lures and the hat or something. Dr. Cheis (talk) 00:46, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

Doomhammer model update?[]

Either they forgot something in the patch, or it wasn't intended for this particular patch...I'm standing in Orgrimmar right now and it's still the same hammer (same model as stuff like the Inv hammer 17 [Mass of McGowan]) he's had for the last five years. Vol'jin's model got the upgrade, but the hammer's still the same. Is this just in Orgrimmar, or has anyone else noticed? --Joshmaul (talk) 02:19, March 24, 2010 (UTC)

I'm guessing it went the same way as the new Anduin Wrynn model, which also doesn't seem to have been put to use. Perhaps we'll see both the new Doomhammer and Anduin in future patches, but until somebody sees Thrall somewhere outside Orgrimmar with the new hammer I'm removing the change since it didn't happen. Doomhammer with a longer handle

Yes, the Doomhammer is a two-hander now!

I went back to double-check it - the head does not appear to have changed. However, it seems that the handle is longer. (I'm not sure if this was changed before, but the "previous incarnations" seemed to look like a one-hander, like the aforementioned MoM.) Adding image here. Champion's Hall[]

"Cleanup"[]

I didn't do the cleanup edit but, according to the patch notes, Art of War appeared in the floating combat text before this patch. - SteveKaye (talk) 10:01, March 26, 2010 (UTC)

Tram[]

No. The tram would play a short taking off sound as it departed, but the ride itself was silent. You may be referring to the constant ambient tram sounds that play in the area, those have always been there. Now, however, the tram itself plays a new sound as it travels along the tunnel. It might be more of the recent (since 3.3) trigger-happiness about old stuff that people only notice now and attribute to Cataclysm pre-event stuff, or just a change in e.g. hardware, the soundcard/speakers in this case. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 02:09, March 28, 2010 (UTC)
Interesting, I distinctly remember the tram ride being mostly silent, apart from the background ambient sounds, the buzzing sounds as the tram passed each pair of red lights in the tunnel, and the underwater noise in the glass tunnel. Now, though, the tram produces a constant moving sound that drowns out everything else which I'm certain I've never heard before this patch, and I haven't changed any of the audio settings. It could have been a sound card or driver thing, but I've played WoW on three different computers with varying hardware (different installations each time, not just hard drive swaps) and have never noticed that tram sound. I'll try asking a GM in-game to shed some light on this issue. Not that it's a particularly pressing or notable issue, but now I'm afraid I've gone schizophrenic :) Fatlenin1 (talk) 03:14, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

Mounting in Certain areas[]

"You can now mount inside Blackrock Mountain, as well as the Train Depot in Gnomeregan (the non-instanced portion), Ironclad Cove in the Deadmines, and many other instances that have seeming 'outdoor' areas. " While the first two (Blackrock Mountain and Train Depot) are new (at least I know that BR is), correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure you were always able to mount in Ironclad Cove (in fact, it's a good tactic for high levels running people, back when people were run through dungeons). I don't want to remove in case I'm completely wrong, but yeah.Alsius (talk) 16:54, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

I added it assuming that you've never been able to mount in there, but haven't run it for a long time, and not with a character who could mount, until recently. Dr. Cheis (talk) 21:02, March 30, 2010 (UTC)

Terokkar Quest change[]

I have added a note about a change in quests given in Terokkar Forest, it does need more clarification, due to the new quest not yet being on WoWWiki, but advising people that this is not malicious, and has been confirmed by others. Hmm makes sense, that quest slash the tomb guardian had been broken for a while, according to comments on Wowhead, the new one is a simple kill quest in the tomb. Ah, and the quest's already on Sigrie, will pull data from there, plus check ingame. ~ Nathanyel (talk) 22:12, April 2, 2010 (UTC)

Operation Gnomeregan and Zalazane's Fall achievements[]

I thought these should be included in the undocumented changes because they currently exist in-game, although the objectives do not. If you link the achievement in chat it will display the requirements for obtaining it. This one for example:

Usually achievements that aren't obtainable yet but are added to the game can still be browsed to in the achievements tab, but since this is a Feat of Strength it is hidden from the menu.
