I'm doing this quest as Alliance - was part of the 2.0 added quests - the quest giver is out of The Harborage - more info on next edit. Recluse 05:58, 10 January 2007 (EST)

Alliance Version Quest Notes For Integration[]

Quest was orange to me at level 39 (obtained) and still orange at level 40 (completed). See notes below on rewards for completion. Quest giver, Holaaru, is located at 25,32 in the Swamp of Sorrows (via Titan Panel coordinates).

Pool of Tears
Obtain 10 Atal'ai Artifacts and return them to Holaaru at the Harborage in the Swamp of Sorrows.

Atal'ai Artifact 0/10

Description
I am interested in studying Azeroth's past and I'm wondering if you'd be willing to help?

There is a nearby place of historical significance within the swamp that I would like for you to venture to. The Pool of Tears lies to the southeast. It is said that upon its shores and within its depths are buried artifacts of the Atal'ai troll civilization.

But beware, it is guarded by Somnus, an ancient green dragon, and his dragonkin, as well as carnivorous fish in the pool itself!

Rewards
You will receive: 1g 20s

Below, quest text after speaking to quest giver, before turning in quest.

Pool of Tears
I look forward to you gathering enough of the Atal'ai artifacts so that I might begin to study them. I'm eager to discover what happened to their once-great civilization.

Required Items:
Atal'ai Artifact 10/10

Below, quest text after selecting "continue" and having 10 Atal'ai Artifacts.

Pool of Tears
I thank you, <class>. The study of these artifacts should keep me occupied for some time. How else are we Broken and draenei to fit in if we do not come to understand the history of your world?

Rewards
You will receive: 1g 20s

I received the 1g 20s, along with 4450 experience and 385 Exodar reputation (with Human reputation bonus) at character level 40
Also note, that at level 40, there is no follow-up quest, and no grey quest mark over the quest giver's head to indicate the presence of another. Unlike the Horde quest, which seems to be a series. There could be more at a higher level, or at a later time, as Holaaru mentions that the artifacts should keep him "occupied for some time."

Recluse 06:39, 10 January 2007 (EST)

I did this at level 63, and Holaaru did not have any follow-up available to me.
