According to one of Blizzards old guides (the master guide I believe?) they explained that the forsaken actually DON'T breathe, but instead decompose quickly from being in the water, thus explaining why they can stay underwater longer and in turn raising even more questions. --Ndoki (talk) 16:03, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
The upcoming expansion appears set to restore underwater breathing, but the name of the talent has not been announced. Assuming that the talent is called Underwater Breathing, should this article be revamped to its former glory or renamed to something like "Underwater Breathing(legacy)"? - If its the same name, we'll just update the tooltip and note what it used to do.

- With 6.0.2 live, I can confirm that the Forsaken have no breath meter, and appear able to breathe underwater indefinitely. However, the racial has not returned, nor is the ability noted anywhere else in-game. It seems to just be an in-built ability, with no documentation. -- Taohinton (talk) 01:00, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
