Is he actually seen in WoW ?--Kirochi 15:00, 8 May 2006 (EDT)

Thanks to the one who posted the screenshot ; so Knaak didn't fool us completely--Kirochi 11:59, 9 May 2006 (EDT)
And he seems to have been killed once. Were they Blizzard employees ? ;-)--Kirochi 07:01, 10 May 2006 (EDT)

Moved the info from here over to High Overlord Saurfang so it matches up to the name in game. Redirecting this page to there. ClydeJr 13:54, 11 August 2006 (EDT)

Unfortunately, copying and pasting the article text doesn't preserve the article's edit history or talk pages. :( The better option is to use Special:Movepage/Saurfang, but that isn't possible if a page already exists at the destination -- so High Overlord Saurfang needs to be nuked by a wiki admin first. I've changed things back to the way they were earlier and left the {{speedydelete}} on the other page. --Rahskala 10:02, 14 August 2006 (EDT)

Does that picture of a dead Saurfang belong here?

I mean, really, are we gonna start putting a picture of the corpses of Thrall, Tyrande, and whoever else a raiding guild manages to kill in their individual entries? I can see no reason for that besides trying to impress people. If such a picture belongs anywhere, I would suggest it belongs on the guild's page. If there isn't an entry for Divine Vigilance here, one can always be created and pictures of their accomplishments posted.--Illidan Rocks 21:03, 29 September 2006 (EDT)

You're right, it doesn't belong there at all. Removed :) -- Kirkburn (talk) 21:57, 29 September 2006 (EDT)

Does this loooooong list of Saurfang "facts"(that are blatantly ripped off of Chuck norris facts, I might add) need to be here? They really don't add anything to the page, except making it look bigger and less serious.

  1. Sign your posts, Acidic.
  2. This was admitted on WoWwiki because these jokes have been recognized by many players. But still you are right, it's not exactly the right place. Maybe put a 'fanfic' tag just before the jokes ?--K ) (talk) 09:29, 8 October 2006 (EDT)

Okay, I'll do that from now on. I'm a bit of a noob to the WoW community, so I didn't really realize why the facts were there. I'll add that fanfiction thingy too.--Acidic 13:22, 8 October 2006

Hmmm. I never thought about that when I slapped them on here... But, nonetheless, thank you to whoever did put the 'silly' template on the 'facts'. I have no clue how to do that, so... Yeah. If the admins feel that the facts should be on a different page, that's probably best. --Krusk 21:59, 4 November 2006 (EST)(EDT)

FAKE ! THERE'S NO SUCH LEVEL AS THE COW LEVEL !--K ) (talk) 01:34, 6 November 2006 (EST)

I'm gonna do a rehaul of the wiki. Alot of the Facts there just plain suck. In maintaining the humorous quality of this page I'll weed out the good from the ones that are so bad it hurts to read it, and so cheesy that I wish I had wine to wash out the taste.--Grid 05:17, 10 December 2006 (EST)

One people, one state, one sense of humour? User:Jeoh/Signature

Sign your posts, and yes, I believe funny facts like "All Your Base Belong to Saurfang" is lame enough to warrant removal.--Zexx 14:31, 18 February 2007 (EST)

Brox's bro?

I was surprised to read that he was the brother of Broxigar. What's the source?--Illidan Rocks 15:55, 15 October 2006 (EDT)

Christmas on a cracker, Illidan Rocks is back? Sound the alarms! Omacron 20:12, 17 October 2006 (EDT)

Seriously though, where does it say he's related to ol' Brox? --Illidan Rocks 18:16, 19 October 2006 (EDT)
User ComMcNeil has not posted since last january and his lone three contributions were unaccurate articles just about Saurfang. That one misunderstood much ;)--K ) (talk) 19:02, 19 October 2006 (EDT)
During the Silithus Event he says: "I am Saurfang, brother of Broxigar." LemonBaby 19:19, 18 Feb 2007 (MEZ)

The third quote

Can someone fix that third quote? I cleaned up some of the syntax errors but I don't know the full text of the quote so I think it's still incorrect. Kraas 18:45, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Crit video?

As the article said, Alliance was able to mind-control Saurfang some time ago, which resulted in "great crit videos". Can someone provide a link to one of those videos? Thanks Stopa 11:34, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Saurfang will be stood alongside Garrosh Hellscream in Warsong Hold in Borean Tundra in Wotlk. He will still wield the same 2h axe but his armor has been upgraded too Tier 6 Warrior (Valnar (talk) 13:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC))

Oh no! Who'll be left to protect Orgrimmar now?!?!!?! :P Warchiefthrall (talk) 23:53, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Axe speculation untrue

It seems that the speculation about Broxigar's axe is untrue - in the Battle for the Undercity quest chain Saurfang the Younger says his father has given him his axe and armor; in the battle at the Wrath Gate the Lich King breaks Saurfang's axe to pieces killing Saurfang the Younger. Quiet obvious the axe that harmed Sargeras himself cannnot be broken so easily by even Frostmourne. Moreover, Saurfang the Younger says it's his father's axe, not Brox's. I thing the speculation section should be removed.Dakovski (talk) 18:45, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

It's improbable, doesn't mean it's not Broxigar's axe.--Saphiredragon89 (talk) 22:30, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
One problem. I think he meant he gave him his OWN axe. not Varok's actual axe because he still uses it and the axe that saurfang the younger is still the one that he had in outland.--User:Whitedragon254You know im seriously 1337 now. {T1337 to the extreme.CThe dragon protects me...that and my MG 30 glock of course..) 23:27, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Saurfang's Rage

So wait, Saurfang's Rage is no longer a counterattack against any and all crits? Daikorg (talk) 00:42, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Only went by what WoWHead had, I'm assuming it's accurate.--Saphiredragon89 (talk) 20:30, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure why they used the same name twice, but he gained the attack speed buff in addition to the other ability - the counterattack is still there. Egrem (talk) 21:23, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

most magnificent crit videos?

I see no link, or any background of that, and it doesn't seem to make sense. I say it should be removed! Seacow42 (talk) 21:49, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Just because there isn't a link doesn't mean it doesn't exist, and it makes plenty of sense to me. Just because it doesn't make sense to YOU doesn't mean it should be removed, as it may make sense to other people. Toran Wildpaw of the Frenzyheart (talk) 23:38, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

Go to youtube and type in Saurfang crit, I found a couple of videos there. Toran Wildpaw of the Frenzyheart (talk) 23:40, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

A link would be good though... Warchiefthrall (talk) 00:02, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

What clan did he belong to?

Anyone know or theroize what clan Saurfang came from? I mean we all can clearly tell hes fought in all the wars and he participated in the massacre of the Draenei. It would be nice to know, him being legendary and all.

Right now I'd have to say hes from the Shattered Hand Clan--IconSmall DragonBlue.gif Maelstrong 01:53, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Honestly, I would say that he's most likely to have come from his own clan. Something small, like the various ones mentioned in Rise of the Horde that weren't ever featured as major clans. It would be fitting, I think, having Saurfang be the last survivor of a clan, or not be in a clan at all. The Cloven Foe Clan would make a fun name... :P Skreeran (talk) 11:11, 12 August 2009 (UTC)

Rhoin and Krasus

Do Rhoin and Krasus know that Varok is Broxigars brother? For those of you who havent read War of the Anchients, Rhoin, Krasus, and Broxigar went back 10,000 years into the past. I'm not gonna explan everything but Broxigar fought alongside Rhoin and Krasus and proved to be great help, so wouldnt it make senses that if in the second act Dalaran leads the assult that Rhoin would recommend Varok to help out? Makes senses to me, I just cant seem to get how Krasus didnt notice that Saurfang the Younger was Broxigars nephew as well:D--IconSmall DragonBlue.gif Maelstrong 14:54, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

If someone could please anwser this question soon that would be great.--IconSmall DragonBlue.gif Maelstrong 14:57, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

A Question

What does this recently added line mean?

"A GM revealed some information about Saurfang, giving small hints of him being part of the return of the Titans. This could be possible due to Algalon the Observer possibly sending a message to them. As we know, parts of this are true but we know nothing more at this time."

When was this said? It at least needs a citation before it's allowed to be added. Warchiefthrall (talk) 16:40, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Added by Vailincia on 16 May 2009. (A three edit user)
The "Why?" remains.

If a link can't be given, then I think it's best it's removed. Warchiefthrall (talk) 16:57, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. Plus we know that Algalon came back without Varok.

Who voices him?

Saurfang recently got a voice in Undercity and Icecrown, but who voices him? I'd rather like to know. He sounds like Optimus Prime... :P Skreeran 08:14, December 2, 2009 (UTC)

Varok as a Major Character

I would like to vote that we add Varok to the major characters list due to all recent attention he has gotten and all the events he has participated in.AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 02:18, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

I believe he falls under the category of major characters... and he's already on the list. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 04:41, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

Actually I meant under Horde in the past and present major Warcraft Universe characters present at the bottom of several pages on lore figures.AhotahThunderhorn (talk) 11:49, March 29, 2010 (UTC)

Blackrock clan

In the former affiliations it says the Blackrock clan. Since the clan is now more or less affiliated with the Horde, Varok is still a member of them or not? Is there any citation indicating he's not? --Ryon21 (talk) 15:17, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

A good amount of orcs, after joining the majority of the Horde, abandoned any clan ties they had. This seems to remain true as newer generations crop up and clans turn into organizations with less focus on the traditional aspects, such as the Shattered Hand and Warsong. A good amount of them seem to treat clans as a far-off memory and not something very modern. I think we should assume that the average orc is clanless unless otherwise stated. -Cannibeans (talk) 16:11, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
Interesting. Thanks for the answer. --Ryon21 (talk) 16:37, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

When was he first added? There is a 1.5. patch change so I assumed that he was added then in Orgrimmar, but dunno. And when was he removed from Orgrimmar - vanilla or wotlk? --Mordecay (talk) 22:04, 17 January 2018 (UTC)

War count

  1. War on Draenor against the draenei (Shattrath)
  2. First War
  3. Second War
  4. Third War (Hyjal)
  5. Silithus / Ahn'Qiraj
  6. War against the Lich King
  7. Siege of Orgrimmar
  8. WoD?
  9. Legion's third invasion
  10. Beefa

Correct? What is supposed to be the eleventh? --Mordecay (talk) 10:15, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

I don't think there is another one. At the very least, can't think of any from what is listed on his article. Unless the person who added the war count included "Cataclysm" which would be false. — Surafbrov T / P / C 10:43, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
