Template talk:Screenshot

Just a note, I felt it would be useful to organize the image requests by zone. For example, if I wanted to contribute screenshots it would be nice to know which were needed while I was in a particular zone. Therefore, I added a location functionality to the {{screenshot}} tag. It functions as: {{screenshot|reason|location}} and puts the page in the resulting Category:Location image requests. Screenshot vs model viewer

I've been adding lots of model viewer pics to remove this template from many articles. Now, I'm not disputing that screenshots are preferrable to viewer shots, but I wanted to open a discussion on whether the viewer actually meet the critera posed by this template or not. When adding a viewer pic, should one remove the template, or keep it as an incentive to replace the viewer pic with an in-game shot? ----  Varghedin  talk / contribs 13:38, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Frankly any shot is better than no shot. And if someone has an in-game shot then they can replace the current screenshot that has been place using the viewer. But I don't think the tag should remain for just that purpose.
