The Unfired Ancient Blade was provided when starting the quest 
[60R] The Forging of Quel'Serrar.
Notes[]
- When you right click on this item, it will plant the blade into the ground. If you do this anywhere but in Onyxia's Lair, the sword will become useless. You will need to abandon the quest and start over.
- When Onyxia strikes the blade with her fire breath, it will transform into the
[Heated Ancient Blade]. The blade will remain heated for 20 minutes.
