The Sundered Land[]

10,000 year ago, during the War of the Ancients, the Sundering occured. A massive magical event, caused by the conflict of energies over the Well of Eternity by all those seeking to manipulate it. This caused the Well of Eternity to rage out of control, and it began to devour everything around it. The destruction extended and encompassed eighty percent of Kalimdor's landmass. When it was over, the Great Sea was formed in the massive crater left behind, the swirling Maelstrom left in the spot where the Well once stood, a monument to the war. During the latter half of the Third War, it was shown that the Night Elves that were drawn into the Maelstrom had survived and transformed into the Naga. It stands to reason then, that something else could have withstood the Well's implosion...

Setting[]

The land of Kalimdor that was drawn into the Well survives, manipulated and altered by the force that drew it into the infinite paths of the Well of Eternity. The former lands of Kalimdor now reside within a small universe inside of the Well, twisted and warped into the shape of a mountain. But this mountain does not sit upon land, but is suspended within the miniature universe. The majority of Kalimdor's landmass went into forming the central mountain, but some pieces float in the void nearby.

Zones[]

Kalimtain: the central mountain shape that was once part of Azeroth, this is the name attributed to the entire pocket universe as well.

Hope's Stand:

Dark Bastion: the lowest and largest area of the Kalimtain, here reside some of the darkest and twisted creatures ever seen in Azeroth.

Combat The Howling Void: the vast emptiness that surrounds Kalimtain and all of the nearby landmasses.
