Vanguard was the Alliance Expedition's fortress built to surround the Dark Portal in Hellfire Peninsula, Draenor.[1] It was repeatedly besieged by the forces of Ner'zhul's Horde of Draenor.

Although it was immediately absent in The Burning Crusade, the tower at Shatter Point, Honor Hold and the Expedition Armory may all have once been part of the sprawling fortifications.
