Affliction

The DoTs [Bane of Doom] and [Corruption] are some of the most mana-effective and time effective spells available for the Warlock. The Affliction talent tree can improve on these even more.

There is always the issue of the mob dying or getting killed before the full completion of a DoT. This is especially bad for [Bane of Agony] and [Bane of Doom] due to the high ramp-up time needed for these DoTs to reach their full potential. Many Crowd Control abilities break if the affected creature takes any damage. Mobs affected by DoTs can become immune to a significant number of CC measures.

Affliction PvE (32/3/6)

PurposeRaiding
Talent Link(s) Wowhead
Tested patch4..2.2

The affliction PvE build. A key variation is to swap one point in [Pandemic] for a point in [Fel Synergy].

Basic rotation for single enemies will be [Haunt], [Shadow Bolt], [Corruption], [Bane of Doom], [Unstable Affliction] and [Haunt] again. After the first rotation you have to keep casting [Shadow Bolt] which doesn`t require soulshards anymore as the main damage dealer, casting [Haunt] whenever possible in order to reset [Corruption] while keeping [Unstable Affliction] and [Bane of Doom] up.

Under 25% HP of the mob, Shadow Bolt is replaced by Drain Soul.

Demonology

Demonology PvE (0/31/10)

PurposeRaiding
Talent Link(s) Wowhead
Tested patch4.2.2

The demonology PvE build.

This build provides high burst damage, high rate of attack, and insane AoE. Single target rotation is [Metamorphosis] + [Demon Soul]: Felguard + [Immolation Aura], [Curse of the Elements], [Bane of Doom], [Immolate], [Shadow Bolt] unless [Molten Core] is active (then [Incinerate]), until DoTs/debuffs need need refreshing or cooldowns are up, or the target is under 35% health. When target is sub-35% health, replace [Shadow Bolt] with [Soul Fire]. [Hand of Gul'dan] on cooldown.

Multi-target [Metamorphosis] + [Demon Soul]: Felguard, [Immolation Aura], [Hellfire], Felstorm.

Destruction

Destruction PvE (3/7/31)

PurposeRaiding
Talent Link(s) Wowhead
Tested patch4.2.2

The destruction PvE build. This build focuses on max DPS coupled with survivability.

Priority is to keep [Improved Soul Fire] up, keep [Immolate], [Corruption], and [Bane of Doom] on the target while casting [Conflagrate] and [Chaos Bolt] on cooldown. The filler is [Incinerate]. Use [Empowered Imp] procs immediately, and use [Bane of Havoc] for two-target situations. Use [Curse of the Elements] if no other raid members provide the 8% spell damage debuff. Use [Shadowburn] on cooldown when the target is sub-20%.

For AoE situations, use [Rain of Fire], [Shadowfury], and [Shadowflame].
