This page is considered a guideline on Wowpedia.

It illustrates standards of conduct, which many editors agree with in principle. However, it is not policy.

In order to keep a 'clean ship', it is sometimes a good idea to place articles as subpages. Currently, Wowpedia subpages are generally used in two ways.

Article templates

These are used when a page either becomes too long or too complicated. By putting sections as subpages, these can be pulled in as a form of template into the main article. This simplifies the main article, and can help with editing.

Relevant info

Example: a server/realm page and that server's list of crafters

These are used when some info is specifically relevant to a mainpage (such as a server info page), but would be too long or confusing to add to that page. Therefore it is placed in a subpage, and linked from the mainpage.

To be added

Add information or links to rules on creating pages with official namespaces, i.e. Wowpedia:Subpages, unofficial namespaces, i.e. Quests:A Quest, and parethesis, i.e. Doomhammer (server).
